About Michael

I am a licensed marriage and family therapist and I have a true passion for psychotherapy.

I believe in the power of therapy. Therapy is a tool for helping you to discover the person you want to be. First, you have to discover and discard some of the things holding you back. This can be painful. It’s also necessary.

I have found it’s vital to look at depression, anxiety and addiction in a more nuanced view. It’s important to look at these things as symptoms and not the parts that make you up. These symptoms are a call from your psyche to make changes, address unresolved issues and to move towards the person you are meant to be.

I know this because this is what was happened to me. In 2012, I entered recovery and found that I was not living the life I was meant to. It was through arduous and painful work in psychotherapy and a recovery community, I moved through and processed what I needed to in order to become the person I am today. This work is what Jung referred to as the Individuation process. The psyche or souls development and I, like Jung feel it is our task on earth to continue to grow and become the best possible version of ourselves.

If this resonates with you, please feel free to reach out and we can discuss next steps.
